Mar 5, 2023 · It depends where your cylinders are. With your loader on the floor all the cylinders are basically empty - more fluid in the reservoir. If you lift the FEL up and fully dump the bucket, a bunch of fluid will be in the cylinders. I'm pretty sure overfull is fine, there has to be capacity in the reservoir to take the fluid from the cylinders.

May 7, 2019 · I've since learned that the little sight glass used to read the hydraulic fluid level is really sensitive, in that if the tractor isnt perfectly level it can read low or high, and also once the fluid level enters the window, it can quickly go from bottom to the top of the window with seemingly just a few ounces of added fluid.

Oct 19, 2010 · Is there any other hydraulic oil that I could use in my transmission other than Kubota UDT. My local tractor supply store carries Valvoline unitrac tractor hydraulic oil-3098 as well as Valvoline anti-wear hydraulic oil-3015. Would either of these be a sutible substitute? Tractor in question is a L1801DT. Thanks.

Mar 12, 2017 · On a side note, prior to buying the tractor,I noticed that there was hydraulic fluid on the bottom side of the tractor but everything else looked ok. Yesterday after finding that the site glass looked milky, I noticed that the leaking hydraulic fluid is actually coming from underneath the seat. I assume this is coming out of a breather tube.

Mar 16, 2022 · Was doing some research on using ATF in lieu of tractor hydraulic oil, can't seem to find anything that says that is a bad thing as the weights are the same and trans fluid generally runs a little cooler because of various additives over hydraulic oil.

I just drained the 4 ports as described in the service manual, changed the filter, and started refilling with new UDT. Problem is, as I was pouring in the 6th gallon, the oil sight window showed it to be full.
