May 24, 2006 · As far as recommending a substitute for the Bobcat fluid there are many different opinions. I've used universal tractor fluid or AW 32 hydraulic fluid over the last 8 years with no problems. Some people use engine oil but Bobcat stopped recommending that a few years back because changes to the additives.
