New Jersey's Cape May County Zoo said the red panda David Bowie was a fan of craisins and climbing upside down.

The Zoo announced the Red Panda named David Bowie died on Thursday. Vets believe the animal died from a mesenteric torsion, where the intestines twist and blood supply is cut off. David Bowie's keepers say he loved craisins, enjoyed climbing upside down and was always sweet and patient during training sessions.

The closest fire to the zoo is the Eaton fire, which has so far scorched over 13,900 acres and remains completely uncontained, according to Cal Fire.

Officials released details surrounding how the fire began Wednesday at the RainForest exhibit in the Cleveland Metroparks Zoo.

The former Rainforest exhibit, which has been under construction since last October, caught on fire. Cleveland Fire shared in a tweet on Wednesday that the fire was accidental.
