Towamencin Township Supervisor Laura Smith resigned Sunday after a video surfaced showing her making a gesture resembling a Nazi salute. The board has scheduled a special meeting to address the situation.

A supervisor of a town in Montgomery County, Pennsylvania, resigned after a video in which she appeared to mimic Elon Musk’s alleged Nazi salute went viral.

The board said in a statement that it intends to accept Smith’s resignation at its next meeting, adding that it “cannot and will not tolerate such conduct.”

Many have likened it to the Nazi salute. "I don't know that she knows how Tiktok works," Foster said. "But the internet lasts forever."
