On March 22, 2025, rappers Sauce Walka and Sayso P were shot outside the Westin Hotel near the FedEx Forum, leaving Sayso dead and Walka injured.

The man suspected in the murder of Sayso P and injuring Sauce Walka has been found dead. TMZ reports that the suspect, identified as Jayden Dandridge, was located in Houston, where the Harris County Institute of Forensic Science ruled his death as a homicide on Monday (March 31).
