In a worrisome development on Tuesday, Mitch Marner missed his second straight practice. Initially given a maintenance day, it seemed that things were a bit worse than originally thought.

Mitch Marner missed his first game of the 2024-25 season on Tuesday. The Toronto Maple Leafs confirmed that the club's leading scorer would be unavailable to the club and revealed that the player has a lower-body injury.

Dangle's projection comes nearly one month after he envisioned, on New Year's Eve, Marner signing a contract extension worth $13.1 million per season. However, he offered that projection before the new salary cap estimations were released by the NHL at the end of January.
