Josh Metellus and the Minnesota Vikings came to an agreement Saturday on a new three-year, $36 million contract extension that includes $25 million guaranteed and can be worth up to $42 million with incentives.

The Vikings have locked down a key defensive piece by signing their ex-Michigan star to a $36 million extension. Known for his versatility and leadership, he’s set to be a cornerstone of Minnesota’s defense through 2028.
