A hookah lounge shooting early Saturday morning left one man dead and another injured, according to the Fayetteville Police Department. According to a news release, officers just before 2 a.m. responded to reports of a shooting at Anubis Hookah Lounge on Ramsey Street.

One of the shooting victims was pronounced dead at the scene and the other was taken to Cape Fear Valley Medical Center in stable condition, according to the release. Lt. Gov. Mark Robinson, the GOP candidate for governor of North Carolina, is holding a meet and greet in Fayetteville on Saturday.

Robinson's campaign was rocked earlier this week by a CNN report that he posted racist and explicit messages on a pornography website message board more than a decade ago.
