Center Anthony Davis was officially introduced as a member of the Dallas Mavericks on Friday. After a superstar swap with the Los Angeles Lakers that sent guard Luka Doncic to Los Angeles, Davis steps in to join guard Kyrie Irving and the rest of the 2024 Western Conference champions as they look to make another run through the postseason.

The Anthony Davis-Luka Doncic trade stole headlines before the NBA trade deadline. Although Doncic and Davis received most of the attention from the deal, there were other players included in the Dallas Mavericks-Los Angeles Lakers trade.

After dealing Luka Doncic, Maxi Kleber and Markieff Morris to the Los Angeles Lakers during a road trip that lasted more than a week, the Mavericks were back to officially introduce Anthony Davis and Max Christie — as well as Caleb Martin, who was acquired in a separate deal before the trade deadline — to local media in downtown Dallas on Friday.
