Utah’s 2024-25 campaign ended in Las Vegas on Monday, and with an 86-84 loss to Butler in the first round of the College Basketball Crown, the Alex Jensen era has officially begun. The Runnin’ Utes came up short. Utah fell to Butler, 86-84, in the opening round of the College Basketball Crown tournament on Monday. But it wasn’t for a lack of effort from their loudest — if not their biggest — fan in Las Vegas.
The Huskers rallied in Las Vegas by turning up the tempo and Connor Essegian getting into a groove. The sharp-shooter scored 17 points after the break on 7-of-9 shooting to send Nebraska into the next round at the College Basketball Crown. The 16-team tournament is in its first year and will award the champion $300,000.
