Ahmedabad made history on January 25 and 26, 2025, as it hosted India's largest-ever concert with British band Colplay captivating an audience of over 2.5 lakh people and setting new records in event management and tourism.

Coldplay set a record for the largest stadium concerts of the 21st century with over 223,000 attendees in Ahmedabad, India. The band performed two shows on January 25-26, surpassing George Strait’s previous record.

According to details obtained from the Solid Waste Management (SWM) department of the AMC, a total of 492 sanitation workers were deployed in two shifts over two days across all the venues and routes falling within the crowd ambit of the concert,
