The Wharf Miami was all the rage when opened in 2017. What was supposed to be a pop-up space became a fixture on the Miami River. It invigorated the commercial area, but in 2023, the space closed.

A seasoned hospitality professional has been appointed to lead a new boutique hotel set to open in Miami Beach this summer.

• Fernanda Fuentes-Cárdenas and Andrea Bernardi opened Novatore Cucina & Bar on March 8 at 2700 N. Miami Ave. in the Wynwood Arts District. Marco Rama serves as executive chef.
