A Superior Court judge has cleared the way for the City of Boston to proceed with its public-private plan to rehab White Stadium for a new pro soccer team by ruling that the $200 million project

Boston Mayor Michelle Wu is celebrating after a judge sided with the city​ and allowed the demolition of White Stadium to continue.

A Superior Court judge issued a ruling Wednesday afternoon saying that the renovation of White Stadium is not in violation of state laws. The order from Judge Matthew Nestor counts as a major victory for the City of Boston and the new professional women’s soccer team that hopes to begin playing in the renovated stadium next March.
