The world No. 1 is chasing Keith Mitchell, Ryan Gerard, Alejandro Tosti, and Taylor Pendrith, who all sat at 5-under 65 after the first round.

The 28-year-old Argentine Tosti, who had finished in a five-way traffic-jam for second place behind Stephan Jaeger in the 2024 tournament after a hiccup bogey on his final Sunday hole cost him dearly, fashioned his 65 with an impressive bogey-free round.
