DOTHAN, Ala. (WTVY) - The city of Dothan is known as the ‘Peanut Capital of the World’ because the majority of peanuts in the United States are grown within a 100-mile radius of Dothan.
More than 1,600 jars of peanut butter were collected to help feed those in need across the Wiregrass community.
