New details on Apple's upcoming MacBook Air laptops show the advantages of using the Apple Silicon M4 chipset.

A M4-powered MacBook Air has been spotted on Geekbench (via Wccftech ), showing a Metal score of 54,806. Geekbench Metal measures the GPU performance in Macs, and according to this result, it already outshines the MacBook Air M3 — achieving a Metal score of 41,045 on Geekbench.

To mark the year anniversary of the M3 Air, Apple is rumored to be readying an M4 refresh of its most affordable laptop.

The M4 MacBook Air was expected to be Apple's first launch of 2025. However, it seems this laptop might be released in March.

While the body of the Mac Studio will remain the same, it’s almost certain that Apple will upgrade the ports.
