Registrations are already open, but when can you pre-order the Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra, and when will it go on sale?

Samsung announced a new Galaxy Trade-In Program a few days before the big Galaxy S25 launch event, which is great news for loyal customers.

Samsung has teased unexpectedly-advanced AI features for the Galaxy S25 series, depicting an assistant taking multiple complex requests at once.

On January 22, Samsung will host its biannual Galaxy Unpacked Event where the company will announce its new line of 2025 Galaxy S smartphones. This is also when preorders go live. In advance of the event, you can place a reservation online in order to get some early bird perks if you end up placing a preorder. These include:

CNN Underscored editors are turning our attention to all of the latest gear and gadgets out of CES 2025. On top of everything else Samsung is announcing, the brand is also gearing up for its latest Unpacked event later on in January.

The Now Bar is a feature revealed for the One UI 7 operating system upgrade that Samsung teased in December. It appears similar to Apple's Dynamic Island feature, using various live widgets (timers, playback, translations, etc) hosted in a a pill-shaped interface.

The new Trade-In Program will pilot in Korea and France starting today and expand to more regions through 2025. Partnered with Samsung, the program will be managed and operated by Likewize.
