Prince William praised the strength of the Princess of Wales after a turbulent year, offering a 43rd birthday wish on social media that described her as an incredible wife and mother.

The Prince of Wales has wished his wife, Catherine, a happy birthday as she turns 43. "To the most incredible wife and mother. The strength you've shown over the last year has been remarkable," William wrote in a message posted on social media.

While celebrating Middleton's strength over the past year in his birthday tribute to his wife, William said that he, along with the couple's three children, Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis, are "so proud" of what she's been able to overcome.
