Patrick Kane and Jonathan Toews will forever be linked in NHL history as longtime teammates who led the Chicago Blackhawks to three Stanley Cup championships. They also were tied for the most shootout goals in league history – until Tuesday. Kane’s shootout tally lifted the Detroit Red Wings past the Seattle Kraken 5-4 at Climate Pledge Arena.

Patrick Kane, now with the Detroit Red Wings, scored in the shootout to pass Jonathan Toews' NHL record of 52 shootout goals in his career. With Kane's beautiful goal against the Seattle Kraken, he now sits number one with 53 goals in the shootout, and I don't believe he's done yet.

Berggren broke a 2-2 tie with the Wings' second power-play goal of the night. Berggren gathered Andrew Copp's faceoff victory and beat goaltender Joey Daccord from the slot at 10:41 of the second period, Berggren's ninth goal.
