Indi will be missing Virat Kohli in the first ODI against England in Nagpur on Thursday after the star batter had a discomfort in his knee during the training on Wednesday.

At the toss, Rohit Sharma said that Virat Kohli is not playing the first ODI vs England as he suffered a sore right knee on the eve of the match. Hence he has been rested as precaution, and with the Champions Trophy 2025 on the horizon.

Shubman Gill has given a positive update on Kohli, saying the 37-year-old will definitely be available for the 2nd ODI which is to be played at the Barabati Stadium in Odisha on February 9.

Captain Rohit Sharma confirmed at the toss in Nagpur that Virat Kohli picked up a late injury which has brought in Yashasvi Jaiswal into the XI for the first ODI.
