New Jersey has been a hotbed for boys basketball talent for the years and this season is no exception. The NJ Advance Media boys basketball staff has done its homework, going back through last week’s games and double-checking notes to find some of the top performances throughout the state.

Stroudsburg High School senior guard McKayla Strunk was named the 2024-25 Pocono Record All-Area Player of the Year for girls basketball, as voted on by the seven area coaches. Strunk led all girls basketball players with 18.8 points per game, along with 5.7 rebounds, 3.5 steals, 2.5 assists and 1.7 blocks per contest.
