Microsoft's 'Minecraft' is playing big on the big screen, but there's another popular block-building game the kids dig.

Cinemas have been tackling a trend that sees fans noisily celebrate when a certain character appears during a new film. A Minecraft Movie, based on one of the world's best-selling video games, is currently in cinemas and some fans have been excitedly shouting and throwing popcorn when the character Chicken Jockey appears.

Even a child is unlikely to be entertained by the film’s stream of Minecraft in-jokes—but fans of the director Jared Hess may find something else to excavate.
