Warren Buffett’s Berkshire Hathaway Inc. added to his stake in the internet domain-name-registry company VeriSign Inc. in the final week of the year, according to a regulatory filing.

Together with the 139,930 Verisign shares purchased earlier in December, Buffett has now increased his stake in the business to roughly 13.3 million shares in total. The stock is trading at an attractive forward price-to-earnings (PE) ratio of 22.97, and readers should note that the company’s last quarterly report included a strong earnings beat.

Buffett has been a net seller of stocks by a wide margin in 2024, reducing equity exposure by over $100 billion. Buffett is finding it hard to find good value in the stock market as prices rise faster than underlying earnings.
