CHARLOTTE, N.C. – We now know the name of the person shot and killed at a west Charlotte motel over the weekend. It happened just after 9:00 Saturday night on Lucky Penny Street, off of Freedom Drive.

An 82-year-old woman is dead and another person is hurt after a house fire in Gaston County. Crews responded to the scene on Alexis High Shoals Road around 7 Sunday evening.
