A federal judge in San Francisco on Monday stopped the Trump administration from revoking deportation protections for hundreds of thousands of Venezuelans, days before their ability to remain and work in the U.

"The extension (of TPS) that goes until October 2026 is now again in place," said Adelys Ferro, director of the Venezuelan American Caucus and a member of the TPS National Alliance, which sued the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) in February.

Now, with the Trump administration targeting Venezuelans by rolling back temporary protected status extensions granted just before his return to office, the stakes feel painfully personal
