On 21st January, Netflix announced a new Harlan Coben series was officially in the works. They shared the update on their Instagram profile, with a picture of Harlan and series lead James Nesbitt holding the book the series is based on, Run Away.

James Nesbitt and Ruth Jones have been cast in Run Away, the new Netflix collaboration with author Harlan Coben. The upcoming eight-part series, based on Coben’s 2019 novel, sees Nesbitt play Simon Greene, a father whose world comes crumbling down after his daughter (Ellie de Lange) runs away from home.

Jan. 21 (UPI) -- Netflix is teasing Run Away, a new limited series based on a Harlan Coben novel starring James Nesbitt. Nesbitt portrays Simon, who is father to Ellie de Lange's character, Paige.

James Nesbitt and Ruth Jones will begin filming later this month for the new Netflix adaption of Harlan Coben's 2019 book Run Away.

Quay Street Productions, who also made previous Coben hits Fool Me Once and Missing You for the streamer, will begin shooting in Manchester this month.

Alfred Enoch is well known for his role as Wes Gibbins in How to Get Away with Murder, as well as for portraying Dean Thomas in the Harry Potter film series. In addition to his screen work, he has appeared in British TV dramas like Sherlock and built a strong reputation in theatre with various Shakespearean roles. Enoch will play Isaac Fagbenle.
