Delhi BJP Mahila Morcha staged a peaceful protest outside Arvind Kejriwal's residence against recently announced 'Mahila Samman Yojana' demanding strict action against him for allegedly deceiving women with 'fraudulent promises.

Delhi Chief Minister Atishi announced the Mukhyamantri Mahila Samman Yojana last week. It is a financial assistance scheme which will provide Rs 1,000 every month to women residents of Delhi. The application process will be online and is likely to be available on the Delhi governments edistrict website.

The scheme, which promised Rs 2,100 per month to women, was labelled as "fraudulent" by BJP leaders, who accused former Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal of misleading the public with false promises. Leader of Opposition in the Delhi Assembly, Vijender Gupta, slammed Kejriwal and the AAP for spreading misinformation.

The government department also cautioned citizens about the risks of sharing personal details, such as bank account information, voter ID cards, and phone numbers, which could result in privacy breaches.

According to a public notice, the Women and Child Development Department declared that any private person or political party indulged in collecting information from citizens through forms and registration processes in the name of the 'Mahila Samman Yojana' was "committing fraud.
