President Donald Trump and Sen. David McCormick of Pennsylvania will jointly announce tens of billions of dollars of energy investments in the state Tuesday as the president travels to Pittsburgh for a conference with dozens of top executives to promote his energy and technology agenda.

President Trump returned to Western Pennsylvania one year to the week after an assassination attempt in Butler. He helped announce $90 billion in investments, but not before reflecting on that day, remembering that he invited David McCormick to the stage about a minute before shots were fired, but he couldn't get through the crowd.
