CHICAGO — The series opener between the Guardians and White Sox at Rate Field has been delayed by approaching bad weather. The game was scheduled to start Thursday at 7:40 ET.
Stuck choosing at No. 10, but with two picks in the first 44, the Sox are hoping to nab a pair of players to make the next stars of their rebuilding project.
Chicago White Sox director of amateur scouting Mike Shirley provided a preview of the MLB draft, which begins Sunday. The Sox have the No. 10 pick in the first round.
The White Sox paid tribute to late closer Bobby Jenks by donning a "45" patch on their uniforms that they will continue to wear for the rest of the season.
