Ahead of this week’s BMW PGA Championship in London, Rory McIlroy briefly touched on the PGA Tour’s pending deal with LIV Golf.

Rory McIlroy lost the clubhead on his 9-iron and then lost a chance to take the first-round lead by going out of bounds on the last hole in an eventful 5-under 67 at the BMW PGA Championship on Thursday.

Rory McIlroy may not have been in attendance for the in-person meetings between the PGA Tour and Saudi Arabia's Public Investment Fund last week in New York, but he still knows more than most when it comes to the slowly progressing potential deal between the tour and LIV Golf's financial backers.
