Kasparas Jakucionis named to Naismith Trophy Player of the Year Midseason Team
Illinois freshman point guard Kasparas Jakucionis was named to the Naismith Trophy Men’s College Player of the Year Midseason Team on Friday. Jakucionis is one of 30 players across the country and one of just eight Big Ten players named to the list the Atlanta Tipoff Club announced.
JJ Quinerly Named to the Naismith Women’s Player of the Year Midseason Team
West Virgnia University guard JJ Quinerly was selected to the Naismith Women’s Player of the Year Midseason Team. Quinerly is averaging 19.9 points, 3.3 assists, and a Big 12 conference-leading 3.3 steals per game on the season.
