Mississippi skies are clear and sunny now, but a threat looms after last week's storms: Flooding from the Mississippi River and some tributaries.

A trough over Townsville Waters will move offshore later today. A ridge will extend throughout the Northern Waters in the wake of the trough and persist for the next few days.
