A man from out-of-state was attested for alleged fraudulent activity in Manitowoc County as deputies are warning of an uptick in scams, with three incidents in the last two days. According to the Manitowoc County Sheriff’s Office,

MANITOWOC, Wis. (WBAY) - A 27-year-old man is accused of scamming someone out of 20,000 in Manitowoc County. The sheriff’s office said it was contacted Thursday by a Manitowoc County resident who said they had fallen victim to a scammer the previous day.

The victim said a person called and identified themselves as "Richard Jenkins with the Montgomery Law Firm," then said someone the victim knows needed financial help.
