Kia on Monday partially revealed production-ready sedan and hatchback versions of its EV4 compact electric vehicle.

The EV4 will likely be built on Hyundai Motor Group’s flexible E-GMP platform, also used in the EV6 and EV9, as well as various Hyundai and Genesis models. To keep costs down, Kia is expected to opt for a more affordable 400-volt version of the platform rather than the higher-end 800-volt version, a strategy previously employed for the EV3.

With the new Kia EV4, the company has showcased both sedan and hatchback versions aiming to offer a unique design and silhouette to buyers.
