India on Tuesday slammed Pakistan over ‘motivated and baseless’ remark on Waqf Amendment Act, 2025 and said that Islamabad has no locus standi to comment on matter that is internal to India.
India’s Ministry of External Affairs slammed Pakistan over the comments on the Waqf Amendment Act enacted by the Parliament of India and termed them baseless and motivated.
"Pakistan would do better to look at its own abysmal record when it comes to protecting the rights of minorities, instead of preaching to others", India said.
The Ministry of External Affairs said Pakistan had no locus standi to comment on India's internal matter and highlighted Islamabad's own failures of protecting minorities.
