President Donald Trump is expected to issue a pardon to former Celebrity Apprentice contestant and Illinois Gov. Rod Blagojevich, Axios reported. The move comes almost exactly five years after Trump first cut Blagojevich’s 14-year sentence on federal corruption charges short in 2020.

Blagojevich, who was a Democrat while in office, supported Trump in the 2024 election and attended last July's GOP Convention.

Trump commuted Blagojevich’s 14-year sentence for political corruption charges during his first term. He planned to sign the pardon on Monday afternoon, according to the person, who was not authorized to discuss the planned pardon publicly and spoke to The Associated Press on condition of anonymity.
