Nico Rosberg has warned former F1 teammate Lewis Hamilton that he will face a huge challenge going up against Charles Leclerc at Ferrari. Hamilton will become teammates with Leclerc as he embarks on a new chapter of his storied and illustrious F1 career at Ferrari, having completed a blockbuster switch from Mercedes.

Lewis Hamilton is set to drive the F1-75 car of 2022 in his first Ferrari test at Fiorano ahead of the F1 2025 season.

Lewis Hamilton’s switch to Ferrari has reportedly divided opinion amongst Ferrari’s Tifosi with expectations for either a “dream team” or a “not easy” period for Charles Leclerc. Hamilton is racing in red this season having signed a multi-year contract to become Leclerc’s newest Ferrari team-mate.

Former Mercedes driver Lewis Hamilton previously consoled Charles Leclerc after the latter lost the 2019 Bahrain Grand Prix due to power unit issues.

The 39-year-old replaces Carlos Sainz at Ferrari, with Leclerc having been the de facto No 1 at the team over the last few years. And ahead of the 2025 season, many fans have wondered whether Hamilton will usurp Leclerc in that role, or whether the Monegasque will retain his spot.

After a distinguished 12-year tenure with Mercedes, where he secured seven World Championships and 105 Grand Prix wins, Hamilton has switched teams for the 2025 Formula 1 season.
