San Francisco 49ers general manager John Lynch doesn't know exactly when a long-term contract extension with quarterback Brock Purdy will get done. But Lynch made it clear Monday morning that he does expect it to happen,

“John Lynch points out what we've discussed past few days: If/when Brock Purdy deal is finalized, 49ers will again be a top-2 or top-3 salary cash spending team in the NFL. The offseason is far from over,” Lombardi wrote on X, formerly Twitter.

There's no real news on the Brock Purdy contract, but even a small amount of news is a big deal for the San Francisco 49ers.
