Jennifer Salke is out as head of Amazon MGM Studios after eight years running the tech giant’s new movie venture. She will transition into a producing deal, Amazon said Thursday.

Both Hopkins and Salke said it was ultimately her decision to make the change. As part of Salke’s exit, she plans to launch her new shingle via a first-look TV and film deal at Amazon MGM Studios.
