Get in the hole! Happy Gilmore is back on the golf course and ready to get into the swing of things. On Mar. 18, Netflix dropped the first trailer for Happy Gilmore 2, the long-awaited sequel to the 1996 comedy film about a failed hockey player named Happy Gilmore (Adam Sandler) who enters a golf competition to win the cash prize and save his grandmother’s house,

“Happy Gilmore 2,″ due out July 25, is directed by Kyle Newacheck (Sandler’s 2019 film “Murder Mystery”) and was written by Sandler and Tim Herlihy, who wrote the first “ Happy Gilmore .”

Premiere July 25, the film sees Sandler back as the iconic Happy — only this time, it looks like he’s hung up his golf clubs. Something compels him to return to the golf course, however, with Virginia (Julie Bowen) telling him, “We’re not done with golf.”
