Manchester City defender Alanna Kennedy has announced that she will be departing the club with immediate effect.

Angel City FC has completed the signing of defender Alanna Kennedy from Manchester City. Kennedy, who turned 30 on Tuesday, has joined the NWSL side on a one-year contract for 2025 with the option of an additional 12 months.

Featuring 22 times in her debut season for City, Kennedy started in both the League and FA Cup final for the Blues. We faced Chelsea on both occasions, losing out in extra time in the FA Cup final at Wembley, but beat Emma Hayes’ side 3-1 in the League Cup in March 2022.
