Sophie Cunningham will be staying put with the Phoenix Mercury. The Mercury (17-20) have three games remaining in the regular season before heading to the playoffs, but the team locked down one of their longest-tenured players.

The Phoenix Mercury and veteran guard Sophie Cunningham have agreed to a one-year contract extension. She's been with the team since 2019.

Cunningham signed an extension through 2025, becoming one of just four players on the Mercury's roster next season.

"Love Island USA," which airs on Peacock and CBS, follows Islanders who couple up to participate in games and challenges throughout their stay at the villa. Temptations and drama break up couples as bombshells arrive and connections are threatened. Contestants may recouple with someone new, and they can be eliminated by viewer votes.
