A new wildfire was reported today at 3:32 p.m. in San Luis Obispo County, California. Railroad Fire has been burning on private land. At this time, the containment status is unknown and the cause of the fire remains undetermined.

Firefighters have contained more than half of the Madre Fire that has burned through a swath of more than 80,000 acres of San Luis Obispo County grassland over the last week.
