Ahead of the official start of CES, Samsung has announced a trio of new Odyssey gaming monitors. Of the bunch, the G81SF is the most interesting. Samsung says it’s the first 4K, 27-inch OLED gaming monitor.

Just a few days after LG announced its CES 2025 lineup of monitors, Samsung is doing the same. The company just introduced several new models, and perhaps the most impressive among them is the Odyssey OLED G81SF.

Asus, Samsung, and MSI have announced their claims for producing the world's first 27-inch 4K OLED 240Hz monitors, all using Samsung's 4th-generation QD-OLED panels.

Based on Samsung's fourth-generation QD-OLED technology, the G81SF is a 4K monitor with a 3840x2160 pixel resolution, a response time of 0.03 milliseconds, and a sharpness of more than 160 pixels per inch for better text legibility and image clarity. It also sports an anti-glare coating and rear-core lighting with 52 color options.

Alienware is joining Asus, Samsung, and MSI in making a silly “world’s first” claim — all four of them are now set to launch a genuinely exciting new wave of 27-inch 4K QD-OLED gaming monitors with an excellent 240Hz refresh rate.

Like MSI and Asus previously announced, Samsung has new offerings that can hit as much as 500Hz of refresh. There’s also a new 27-inch 4K panel, if you’re more interested in high-res gameplay.
