As Ilana Badiner took shelter in the student union during the Florida State University shooting on Thursday, she remembers thinking “I kind of knew the drill already.”

A few of the people who were at Florida State University for a deadly shooting were also traumatized by the Parkland massacre seven years ago.

Survivors of the Parkland shooting banded together to form March for Our Lives, a youth-led movement to end gun violence. In the wake of the FSU incident, some expressed shock that such an event could happen again.
