The National Weather Service has issued a flash food warning for parts of Chatham County, lasting, at least, several hours. A nearly stationary thunderstorm has dumped 2.5 inches of rain near Savannah from 4-5 p.m., and another 1-3 inches of rain is likely to fall. That's why officials have issued the warning until 6:45 p.m. Saturday.

A flash flood warning has been issued by the National Weather Service for the Salt Fire burn scar in southeastern Lincoln County.

The National Weather Service released an updated flash flood warning at 2:37 p.m. on Thursday in effect until 5:30 p.m. for Bergen, Essex, Hudson and Passaic counties.
