A Superior Court judge issued a ruling Wednesday afternoon saying that the renovation of White Stadium is not in violation of state laws. The order from Judge Matthew Nestor counts as a major victory for the City of Boston and the new professional women’s soccer team that hopes to begin playing in the renovated stadium next March.

A judge has ruled that the land that is home to the historic White Stadium within Franklin Park is not protected by the state constitution as park land, allowing the redevelopment of the stadium to move forward.
