A dog named Titan helped police figure out the killer of its owner, Mandy Rose Reynolds, during authorities' 2023 investigation.

A Texas man has been sentenced to life in prison for the murder of his cousin after a family pet helped identify him as the killer, authorities said.

Titan, a white Labradoodle, refused to leave his owner’s side even after she was fatally shot and her body was burned.

Derek Joseph Daigneault, 29, of Wichita, Kansas, was sentenced to life in prison Friday for killing his cousin Mandy Rose Reynolds in April 2023. The 26-year-old woman’s body was discovered by police, burning inside a plastic container in a field in Robinson, Texas.
