A rescuer in Mandalay said he was digging through rubble with bare hands after a 7.7 magnitude earthquake hit Myanmar.

Three people died in Myanmar after a mosque partially collapsed, according to reports. The quake destroyed multiple buildings and damaged palaces in popular tourist areas of Myanmar – a country already affected by the ongoing civil war between the military and the armed rebel forces.

One of the scariest videos to emerge out of the massive Myanmar earthquake shows people in a skyscraper pool in Bangkok, Thailand, when the quake hits. The video, which went viral on X, shows the pool water splashing off the side of the skyscraper as the magnitude of what is happening slowly dawns on the people in the pool, who then rush to safety.
