Dani Olmo still can't feature for Barcelona given the team's failure to register him in La Liga because of financial issues.

Raphinha has said that players “would probably think twice” about coming to Barcelona after Dani Olmo and Pau Victor were de-registered from their first-team squad. On January 4, Barcelona were planning to file a complaint to the Spanish government in their final attempt to register the two players after La Liga and the Spanish Federation (RFEF) refused to alter their stance on the registrations.

A spokesperson for the Spanish government had denied claims a temporary registration has been awarded to Barcelona midfielder Dani Olmo. Olmo, alongside midfielder Pau Victor, saw his La Liga registration expire on December 31 and fell foul of the La Liga rule stressing players cannot be awarded a second license with any one club in a single season.
